The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has held a solemn memorial service for the late Prince Nana Agyemang Badu, a dedicated staff member whose two decades of service left a lasting impact on the Authority and his colleagues.
The service brought together management and staff to mourn his passing, celebrate his life and reflect on his contributions to the PPA.
The occasion featured heartfelt tributes and reflections on his professional achievements, character, and relationships with colleagues.
In their tributes, management and representatives from various departments acknowledged Agyeman’s legacy through valuable contribution to the Authority.
Affectionately known as “Agyengo Tescon,” he was remembered for his confidence, tenacity, resilience, and commitment to excellence.
Colleagues also fondly recalled his caring nature, humour, and ever-present smile.
The Chief Executive Officer, Mr Frank Mante, paid a glowing tribute to Agyemang and urged staff to emulate his hard work and good relationship with colleagues.
Described as one of the Authority’s veterans, Prince Nana Agyemang Badu joined the PPA as a National Service Person in 2005/2006 and was afterwards employed on 6th July 2006 as a Procurement Assistant.
Through continuous professional development, hard work, and dedication, he rose to become a Deputy Director.
He served as Head of Procurement from June 2018 and was subsequently reassigned to the Compliance Monitoring and Evaluation (CM&E) Division in July 2020, where he served until his passing on 5th August 2026.
The PPA extends its deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones and joins them in mourning the loss of a respected colleague and dedicated public servant.
