The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) has received a Quality Choice Prize Award in Berlin (Germany) from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR). The award presented to the CEO of PPA Mr. AB Adjei and some Board Members was in recognition of its prominent initiatives and the demonstration of exceptional leadership in quality management that have delivered significant savings to Ghana’s economy.
The ESQR’s Quality Choice Prize, organized by the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR), undertakes a comprehensive assessment of the initiatives and strategies that business leaders across the world implement in their companies and organizations. This annual awards therefore acknowledges the efforts of exceptional and talented employers and employees and provides motivation for continuous progress.
In his remarks, the CEO of PPA intimated the need for world leaders to recognize their place as critical change agents and attach a deeper commitment and passion to the delivery of their work. According to him procurement has become one such important instrument to effect change and bring about economic transformation in developing countries.
The CEO of PPA Mr. AB Adjei, the Vice Board Chairman Mr. Sammuel Richard Nee Baidoo, and two other Board Members Mrs. Ernestina Jemima Eshun and Mr. Emmanuel Yaw Boakye participated in the Convention and Awards giving ceremony on the 7th July, 2019 at the Grand Hyatt Berlin.
Other award winners over the years include the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Bolivia, State Bank of India, Chapman University (USA), Bedford College (the United Kingdom), Delta Airlines (USA), BMW Group from Germany among others.
