PPA Set to Launch Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP)

The Public Procurement Authority (PPA) is set to launch the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) on the 30th of April 2019 at the Accra Academy of Arts and Sciences.

The Grand Launch under the theme ‘Rising into a new dawn in public procurement’ is expected to host the Vice President of the State, His Excellency Mahamudu Bawumia who will be delivering a keynote address.

 

Other speakers include Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, the Minister of Communications, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, the Minister of State in charge of Public Procurement and AB Adjei, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Procurement Authority.

The e-Procurement System with the support from the World Bank under the e-Transform Project (Ministry of Communications) is to transform Ghana’s manual procurement process and procedures unto an electronic platform with the use of the internet. This is expected to improve transparency, efficiency and ensure value for money in Ghana’s procurement system.
